We’re rebuilding practice management around AI.
Calceum is an AI-powered practice management platform for accountants and small accountancy firms. It automates workflows, reduces admin and improves efficiency, so more of your team’s time goes to advising clients and driving revenue.
Is your practice management holding you back?
If your accountancy firm doesn’t use a practice management solution, it’s likely you’re spending too much time on manual admin and not enough time serving clients and growing your advisory services.
If you already have a solution, you may be finding it’s struggling to keep pace with modern ways of working, with AI add-ons that simply can’t match the capabilities of an AI-first platform.
A future-proof solution.
At Calceum, we see a better future for small practices, where admin is minimised, workflows are automated and growth is maximised.
Calceum serves as the central operational hub for your practice, handling everything from client onboarding and requests to reminders and reporting. By automating routine workflows and administrative tasks, it helps practices create more capacity for advisory work.
And it’s designed to evolve over time, adapting to the changing needs of your business and the latest developments in AI.
It won’t remove the need for human oversight, and it won’t replace your staff. But it will streamline your processes so you can focus on high-value client work.
What makes us different.
Most practice management solutions were built for a different era and are now racing to add AI features. Calceum is being built from the ground up, with AI at its core.
Rather than relying on a patchwork of third-party integrations and disconnected tools, Calceum acts as a single intelligent hub for your practice. That lets you automate workflows more effectively and adapt quickly as technology evolves, a simpler, more seamless experience for clients.
While traditional practice management software helps firms manage work, Calceum is designed to automate and do the work itself.
Meet our founder.

ACCA qualified, with over 20 years’ experience across accounting and finance, Brian has a deep understanding of compliance, enterprise systems, process improvement and building teams.
Throughout his career he’s overseen system design, identified problems and managed international teams to streamline processes that drive efficiency, including work on an earlier generation of AI.
More recently, he’s been working closely with accountancy practice owners to understand their challenges, and one question keeps coming up: how do you leverage AI in the way a practice actually operates? Calceum is the practice management platform being built to answer it.

Calceum was founded to help small accountancy firms spend less time on admin and more time serving clients. Talking to accountancy practices, our founder, Brian Halcrow, saw the same challenge coming up time and again: too much time spent onboarding, managing workflows and chasing information. That’s time that could be better spent building the business. Capitalising on recent advances in AI, Calceum is being built to automate these routine tasks and workflows, so accountants’ time can be freed up for higher value advisory work.
Most practice management platforms were built before AI became mainstream. While many are now adding AI features, their underlying design is still built for a different era. We believe AI creates an opportunity to take a fresh approach. By building Calceum from the ground up with AI at its core, we’re creating a platform that can automate workflows, adapt as technology evolves and help practices work more efficiently. Instead of adding AI to existing software, we’re building software around AI.
Small accountancy firms face a unique challenge. They need to deliver excellent client service, manage compliance requirements and keep growing, often with limited time and resources. Many practice management solutions are designed for larger organisations and can feel overly complex. Calceum is being built specifically for smaller practices, helping them reduce admin, automate routine tasks and create more time for higher value advisory services and business growth.
For the first time, technology can understand context, process information and complete multi-step tasks with minimal human input. This means AI can do far more than simply organise information. It can automate workflows, manage routine admin and support the day-to-day operation of a practice. For accountants, this creates an opportunity to spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on client relationships and business growth. We believe this development will fundamentally change how accountancy practices operate over the coming years.
